Phone numbers and caller ID
Which number buyers see when the agent calls them, and how to get your own.
Your caller ID
When the agent calls a buyer, the first try comes from the number marked "Your outgoing calls start from this number" on the Inbound agent page, under How buyers reach you → Phone calls. If you have more than one number, retries take turns on the others.
Until a phone number is assigned to you, campaign calls wait: none is placed and no tries are used up. They start as soon as the number is assigned, so ask for it before you launch a calling campaign.
Getting a phone number
Your KonvoLead admin assigns phone numbers. To ask for one:
- Open Inbound agent.
- Under Phone calls, turn on the switch.
That puts your request in front of our team. When the number is assigned it appears under Phone calls. From then on it is your caller ID and buyers can call it. See Your numbers.
If you only want to make calls
Once your number is assigned, you can turn the switch off again. Your campaign calls still come from your number, and people a live campaign has called still reach the agent when they ring back. (On a call-script campaign they hear that someone will be in touch, and your team is paged.) Anyone else who calls hears that someone will call them back, and your team is paged.
More than one number
If you have several phone numbers, buyers can call any of them and reach the same agent. A call's first try comes from the number your outgoing calls start from, and retries take turns on the others. Ask your KonvoLead contact to change which one calls start from.
